Create Your Own Succulent Pumpkin – Wednesday, September 15 5:30 p.m.

Using live succulents and fall pumpkins or gourds, create a beautiful fall decoration!  A limited number of cuttings are available so PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED. CALL (359-2699) or EMAIL to reserve your spot.  After instructions, you’ll be free to work at your own pace to complete your project.  Prices vary by size of your creation:

Small Pumpkins/Gourds $12  Medium White Pumpkins $15  Large Pumpkins/Gourds $25

Beginner’s Bonsai – Saturday, September 18 10:00 a.m.

$60 – Cost includes Ficus Wiandi, bonsai planter and 1 1/2 hour class. Each participant should bring an old pair of scissors to use.
A limited number of plants are available so PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED. CALL (359-2699) or EMAIL to reserve your spot.
Learn the history and basics of the art of Bonsai. After instruction, you will trim, repot and design your plant; leaving with your own ficus bonsai to grow at home. Optional bonsai tools are available for purchase at an additional charge, but you can use an old pair of scissors from home to complete the class.
Dave Barner, from Chillicothe will be our instructor. He has been practicing bonsai for many years and we are excited to have his expertise available for our classes.

We are pleased to be able to provide locally grown plants to our community.  During the fall season, our retail greenhouse is open weekdays until 5, Saturdays until 3:00 and closed on Sundays.  Choose from our selection of hardy mums, fall annuals or some of our ready made combination planters and baskets.  After your purchase of plants and empty containers, you’ll want to visit our newly relocated potting shed where you can pot up your purchase for free!
